Dr. Khalid Hussain Asad

As a service member of the Pakistan Army Medical Corps for almost four decades, I gained a unique experience of serving in various administrative and operational capacities. I became familiar with significant gaps that exist within healthcare delivery and management in Pakistan and sought to address those to the extent my mandate as an army officer permitted.​

After retirement, even as I was no more part of the institution that enabled me to serve perhaps more effectively than I otherwise could, I aspired to continue my pursuit of finding solutions to the most complex challenges. I believed the skills I had developed serving in Pakistan and abroad could be a great resource and translate quite well within a private enterprise. After consulting some industry stakeholders and considering the challenges healthcare in Pakistan is facing, I concluded I must persevere in my desire to make a difference, and as such, the idea of Bluestone Healthcare Services came into existence.

​Through Bluestone, we hope to provide health-related products using best practices, and continually improve by setting higher quality and ethical standards for the industry. We aim to take a holistic view by going beyond traditional supply chain management and work with various industry and community stakeholders to inspire a new era of wellness.
